Dec. 18, 2016. All 273 Dialogues below are error‐free. NOTE: The number following each title below (which is the same number that follows the corresponding dialogue) is the Flesch‐Kincaid Grade Level. See Flesch‐Kincaid or FREE Readability Formulas, or Readability‐Grader, or Readability‐Score. These grade levels are not "true" grade levels, because the dialogues are not in "true" paragraph form (because of the A: and B: format). However, the grade levels are true in the sense that they are truly relative to one another.

Destiny Dixon As Lara Croft Instant

Destiny Dixon naturally speaks in a contralto range that is authoritative without being theatrical. She can deliver the classic Lara one-liner ("I hate tombs") with a dry sarcasm, but she can also whisper the terrified prayer of a woman hiding from a jaguar. For a film or series that wants to bridge the gap between the action-comic tone of the 2000s and the survival-horror tone of the 2010s, Dixon offers vocal versatility.

Another added: "We need someone who can do the motion capture and the stunts. Why hire an actor and a stunt double when you can hire a stunt actor who can act?" Will Destiny Dixon ever actually don the holsters and dual pistols (or the climbing axe and bow)? The odds are statistically low; Hollywood tends to play it safe with major IP. But the exercise of imagining "Destiny Dixon as Lara Croft" is valuable because it forces us to redefine what we want from the character. destiny dixon as lara croft

Where Jolie was a caricature of wealth and wit, and Vikander was a scrapper, Dixon looks like the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" iteration: a woman who has seen the Divine Source, lost her father figure (Roth), and decided to burn down Trinity in revenge. She has the "thousand-yard-stare" that the later games demand. Lara Croft’s voice has evolved. Gone is the posh, cut-glass Received Pronunciation of the 90s. In the modern era, Lara (voiced by Camilla Luddington) has a lower register, a slight American tint to her British accent, and a husky quality born of screaming over waterfalls. Destiny Dixon naturally speaks in a contralto range

Destiny Dixon, with her athletic prowess, her intense screen presence, and her uncanny physical resemblance to the modern video game model, represents the perfect evolution of Lara Croft. She is the rugged, realistic, relentless tomb raider that the 21st century demands. Until the official announcement comes, the fan-casting remains. And for this particular fan, the drawer labeled "Lara Croft" has only one picture in it: Destiny Dixon, bloody, bruised, and holding the Staff of Life. Another added: "We need someone who can do

Destiny Dixon brings a level of functional strength and stunt-worthy agility that many traditional actresses lack. Having built a career on physically demanding roles, Dixon possesses the broad shoulders, defined back muscles, and low-center-of-gravity stance that animators spend months trying to program. Unlike the waifish action star trope, Dixon looks like she can actually fire a compound bow, pull a 50-pound pull-up, or drag a wounded comrade through a mudslide.

In the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot, developer Crystal Dynamics emphasized that Lara should look "capable of violence but also vulnerable." Dixon’s athletic frame, combined with her ability to move with predatory grace (honed through years of training), bridges that gap perfectly. She doesn't just look the part; she looks like the part has been beating her up for three games straight. The most contentious point of any Lara Croft casting is the facial geometry. Angelina Jolie owned the "Classic" era with her sharp cheekbones and pouty defiance. Alicia Vikander brought the "everywoman" grit of the reboot. Destiny Dixon offers a third path: the weathered academic.
